VE – Basic Module Important Update

I just noticed that there was a issue with the Basic Module that might cause some problems in the future: it was checking for the Graphics folder even for encrypted projects. Wich can cause errors if the projetc is RTP free. So anyone using the Basic Module v1.12 or lower, upgrade it to version v1.13.

Also for the ones wating for the Animated Battle, it’s complete! BUT since this time it will be the full relase, i won’t relase it unting the full user guide is complete, wich will take sometime.
Anyone interessed in testing it, specially for compatibility, enter in contact that i will send the demo (wich by the way will not be available for the full, since i will make a full detailed guide for it)
Also there’s a bonus video of the battle system using some video magics from Suikoden 2

VE – Animanted Battle Video

This is a small video to show the Animated Battle in action using charsets and kaduki style battlers.
Also it shows the visual equip working on the battle.

VE – Animated Battle

It’s been really a long time since my last post, but this time i was working a lot on something really special: my Animated Battle System for Ace.
It’s still in beta, and lacks some features, but i’m relasing it so people can give some feedback and suggestions.

Since my last post there was a lot of updates on Yanfly Channel, Yami World, Ramiro’s blog, Atelier-RGSS, Atelier Cross and Sonata. Check them all!

VE – Followers Options

The newest script Followers Options gives new options for the followers display. It improves the movement, making the actors move only when really necessary, it’s also possible so set a delay distance for the movement. It also allows to set the display for dead actors and change the in map order display of characters.

Here comes more two scripts, this time both brings new features related to battle: Automatic Battlers and Action Effectiveness.
Automatic Actions allows to create a more complex AI for enemies and actors with Auto Battle. There’s really a LOT of possibilities with this script. No more dumb enemies wasting turns buffing a already buffed target, trying to poison a poisoned target, healing full HP ally and another of really dumb things that they do.
Action Effectiveness allows to change the effect of some actions based on certain conditions. You can make items that doesn’t work on certain characters (No healing with potions for androids : D), also you can restrict the use of some actions, being that specially useful for items, since there is the “Seald Skill” trait for skills xD

Atelier Cross relased a script to show Animated Faces on battle and a Battlecry Script

Here I am with another script update: Target Arrow and Event Conditions.
Target Arrow is very similar to the already relased Arrow Cursor, this one allows to select targets using arrow like cursor, it also bring the possibility to select targets for all target actions.
The Event Conditions allows to make custom event page conditions.
Also there was updates in several scripts to fix some bugs and compatibility issues, it’s higly recommended to update all the scripts on the update list.

VE – Trait Control, Encounter Rate Mod


More two scripts for Ace: Trait Control and Encounter Rate Mod. The trait control allows a new level of customization for traits, it’s possible to remove or add traits with comment call, and it’s also possible to create traits with conditions to be used. The Encounter Rate Mod allows to change the encounter rate based on the terrain or region where the player is moving.

Yanfly posted the YEA – Class System that allows a more complex class system with subclasses
Atelier Cross relases Animated Faces for battles
Yami relases a add-on for YEA – Lunatic Mode
Ramiro comes with a Cooperation Skill add-on for his battle system.

More 3 new scripts done: Custom Description, Control Codes and Custom Basic Actions. The first two are more add-ons for windows, the custom description allows to change the description of actors, items, equipment and skill during the game, and these changes are binded with the saves. Useful for story updates: you don’t want the description of you amnesia cliche hero to tell that he still have amnesia after he recover his memory right? : D
The Control Codes are a extension of the extra codes that once was added to the Control Text.
The Custom Basic Actions allows to edit the Basic Attack and Defend Commands.

VE – Skip Battle Log, Step Sound

More two new toys arrived: Skip Battle Log, that allows to hide specific messages from the battle log, useful if using damage popup system. And Step Sound, that allows to play sounds when walking on specific tiles based on the terrain tag or region id.

VE – Visual Equip

This one took a quite time, but it’s finally done: Visual Equipment. I really like this one, the visual equip allows to display specific graphics when equiped with some equipments. But not only that, this ones allows to assign equip parts for actors, classes and events, allowing a very high customization level. With this one you can set every part of the character, almost like a character maker (wich is on my plans, and woudn’t be so hard to acomplish with the help of this ones)

Yami made a add on for messages YSA Message Add-on – Pop Message
Sonata brought some great sonic the hedgehog music
